Is a share on obolos the actual share, or a token representing it?

The actual share. Each share class is a token issued by the company's own contract, not a wrapper, SPV, or IOU held by someone else. For Delaware corporations and LLCs, obolos generates the bylaws or operating agreement amendment that designate the onchain ledger as the company's stock ledger under Delaware law. Once adopted, that ledger is the legal record of ownership. Elsewhere it is the company's live record, and its standing as the register depends on local law and your governing documents.

How do secondary transfers work?

A holder starts the transfer from their portfolio. Depending on the company's rules, they give notice so a right of first refusal window runs, or request the company's approval. Eligibility is checked on the share itself, so a transfer that breaks KYC, accreditation, lockup, or holder-limit rules cannot settle. Once approved, or once the notice lapses, the holder completes the transfer and the cap table updates.

US (Delaware) C-Corps, S-Corps, and LLCs are live at launch, with the full rule set including Reg D, Reg S, and Rule 144. Jurisdiction support is modular: further jurisdictions are enabled per company as counsel-reviewed rule sets are signed off, without changing the company's register or its contracts. Switzerland is next.

Yes. Agents use @obolos/sdk and the Obolos skill to inspect live state and prepare hashed, preflighted plans. The exact plan remains subject to compliance checks and human approval before it is sent.

How much does obolos cost?

Accepted Answer

Protocol actions carry fixed credit prices, with 100 credits = $1. Issuing a SAFE is 500 credits, opening a fundraise is 30,000 credits, and holder exercise, release, claim, and transfer actions are unmetered. The Talent plan includes 5,000 credits a month. Network gas is separate.
